For immediate release:
(December 13th 2016) Kansas City Foot and Ankle and the Heel Pain Center of Kansas City introduce an innovative, non-invasive technology for the treatment of heel pain, plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis.
Dr. Mark Green, founder and CEO of Kansas City Foot and Ankle and the Heel Pain Center of Kansas City, announced Tuesday December 13th, that Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is now available to patients in the region suffering from heel and arch pain. This state-of-the-art technology provides another non-invasive treatment option for patients with soft tissue injuries such as heel pain, Achilles tendinitis, sport injuries and ankle pain.
Dr. Green stated, “The Heel Pain Center of Kansas City was created to provide the community with the largest selection of options for the treatment of heel pain. Since each patient is unique regarding health and lifestyle, treatment must be individually tailored for each patient. The addition of (ESWT) to our practice provides lasting relief from chronic heel pain without injections, medications or a trip to the operating room.”
(ESWT) is a non-invasive, in-office procedure that typically consists of three treatments spaced about a week apart. High-pressure mechanical energy in the form of waves or pulses is delivered to the painful area of the foot or ankle, promoting tissue repair and regeneration of healthy tissue. The technology is clinically proven to safely and effectively relieve pain and restore mobility to damaged soft tissue.
Angie Beerup, Chief Operating Officer states, “This technology is one of many advanced non-invasive treatment options available to patients with heel, foot or ankle pain. This is our practice living up to its promise of offering innovative treatment technology. Our patients want options and we deliver. With the latest technology and our doctors’ expertise in foot and ankle care, we get patients back on their feet, quickly and comfortably.”
Kansas City Foot and Ankle and the Heel Pain Center of Kansas City offers other state-of-the-art treatment modalities to its patients with heel pain including Musculoskeletal Laser, Cryoanalgesia, Amniofix, PRP, Tenex, Topaz and custom orthotics.
