Dr. Bess, originally from Ohio, is new to the Kansas City area, arriving via Denver where he spent the past year. He studied biomedical engineering at the University of Toledo and from there moved to New York City to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed an extensive three-year surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, where he had a special focus on diabetic limb salvage, sports medicine, trauma, and elective surgery of the foot and ankle.
When he’s not working, Dr. Bess enjoys playing soccer, tennis, and hockey, as he has since high school. He’s looking forward to Kansas City barbecue, a good football team, and spending time with family who live in KC, including his “nieces,” an old english sheepdog and bichon.
