It’s hard to believe that we are entering the final stretch for 2013. Only 3 weeks left until 2014! Here is a friendly reminder that your Flexible Spending Account or Healthcare Savings Account runs out December 31st.
You know the saying, “use it or lose it!” That is how FSA and HSA accounts work. Use all your money by the end of the year or risk losing whatever you have put aside for medical expenses.
FSA and HSA
FSAs and HSAs can be used towards so many useful podiatry services. For example, maybe you already have one pair of orthotics, but would love to have a second pair. Having a 2nd pair means you don’t have to remember to change them between shoes. Your FSA or HSA can be used to purchase that second pair of custom-molded orthotics. We already have your original orthotic molds and can easily place an order for your 2nd pair of orthotics.
Maybe you have a bad case of toenail fungus and have been putting off getting the laser treatment, because you heard it’s expensive. Now would be the time to make that appointment, as we use the most effective laser treatment available for killing stubborn toenail fungus. While you are at it, pick up a SteriShoe sanitizer to help sanitize your shoes to prevent toenail fungus from returning.
It might also be time to take care of that painful ingrown toenail that is causing you trouble before you try to wear those cute holiday shoes. Or maybe you have a nagging bunion that you know you need to have corrected. Now would be the time before the end of the year!
Start 2014 off on the right foot – don’t put off going to the podiatrist any longer in 2013. Make an appointment now so you can use that remaining FSA or HSA money you have before the end of the year. Kansas City Foot and Ankle works with most insurance companies. We also have many convenient appointment times that will work with your busy schedule. But you have to hurry – appointments are filling up fast!
Have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
