Dr. Dusty Christensen, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, is a proud alumnus of the University of Arizona (BEAR DOWN!), graduating in 2007. During his time in Tucson he studied Physiology and German Studies and still speaks German fluently. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree, he attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Management in 2013.
Dr. Christensen’s postgraduate training was in South Bend, Indiana, where he completed a three year foot and ankle surgical residency program at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, graduating in 2016. While completing his residency training he worked as team resident physician for a local 6A high school and trained under orthopedic team physicians for the University of Notre Dame. His special areas of interest include sports medicine, ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Christensen is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. For the convenience of his patients, Dr. Christensen maintains medical and surgical privileges at St. Joseph Medical Center and the Surgicenter of Johnson County.
Other than providing exceptional patient care, Dr. Christensen’s biggest passion in life is music. He is an accomplished saxophonist and guitarist and can be found on most weekends playing with various local jazz and rock bands. He enjoys cooking, traveling, cycling, and is a lifelong fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. He also loves spending time with his beagle, Ollie, and his Great Dane, Walter.
